About Us


The United States Polo Association (USPA) was created on March 21, 1890 by H. L. Herbert. It was formed to act as the national governing body for the sport of polo in America and Canada. The USPA is dedicated to growing recognition for polo, organizing tournaments, establishing rules, creating educational programs, coordinating interscholastic and intercollegiate competitions, and providing the handicaps for polo players all over the country.


Background Screening Requirement


In order to be affiliated with or participate in United States Polo Association programs, each candidate is required to complete a criminal background check prior to begining their service.

Once your background check is complete, the results will be made available to United States Polo Association for their review.


Please speak with your United States Polo Association representive should you have any questions regarding this requirement.

Intercollegiate/Interscholastic Coach candidates will be required to self-pay for their $16.95 order
