Our Mission


A youth ranch of rescued dreams, where horses and all children are invited, accepted and loved, regardless of circumstance. Our mission is to offer a refuge to horses who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused. To welcome children with open arms and mentor them in the "Ranch" atmosphere. To show the hope and love that Jesus offers to all of us.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Sun River Equine Youth Ranch, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.
Sun River Equine Youth Ranch, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.
If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Sun River Equine Youth Ranch administrator if you have any questions).
By purchasing your background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
