Background Screening Requirement

Araminta Freedom Initiative is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization associated with the Maryland Non-Profits Network and a member of the Maryland State Human Trafficking Task Force.

Due to the sensitive nature of our work and vulnerable population we serve, we require all prospective volunteers to complete a background check through Coeus Global’s secure background screening service prior to beginning their volunteer engagement.

We are not able to accept background reports performed by other employment/volunteer organizations or agencies because of insurance and legal requirements for our organization.

To help defray the cost of training and ongoing volunteer support, you may wish to pay the background check fee directly via your personal credit or debit card.

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
