First Step - Position Classification
About First Step
First Step was founded in 1979 as a community based organization to prevent juvenile delinquency and promote youth development in Northwest Baltimore County. Since opening our doors, we have greatly expanded our services and altered our service delivery system to reflect the times in which we live. We have experienced tremendous growth due in large part to the familial, societal and healthcare industry changes that have taken place in this country.
First Step is a regional behavioral healthcare agency committed to providing youth, families and adults with comprehensive services that nurture healthy and productive lives. Our innovative programs feature a continuum of education, prevention and treatment which effectively address the issues people face during challenging times. We use a multi-disciplinary approach to work with individuals and families as well as the community-at-large to solve problems caused by family conflict, substance abuse and other challenging issues of today.
Through all of the changes we have made over the years, one thing has not changed - our reputation of caring for people every step of the way.
