About Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy

Founded in 1989, Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy is a nonprofit organization committed to inspiring students to dance by providing structured training while giving each dancer the opportunity to experiment with their own creativity. MBT is also committed to bring arts eduation to the community with performances and outreach programming.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a contractor or employee with Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our contractors.
