About Us

Partners In Care was founded in 1993, and blossomed from an idea of three women who were interested in preserving and utilizing the talents of older adults, and creating a community network to help them remain independent in their homes. The tool of time exchange with values of reciprocity, social capital, and equality was infused into the culture of the program.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Partners In Care, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Partners In Care, as a nonprofit organization, typically incures the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Partners in Care administrator if you have any questions

By purchasing your background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
