About Us

Council on Aging is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering services in Ravalli County, from Florence to Sula.


We assist older residents, adults with physical disabilities, their families, and caregivers by:
•Promoting independence and dignity
•Serving elders with the greatest need
•Serving adults with physical disabilities
•Providing easy access to services
•Providing opportunities for seniors to make a difference in their communities
•Providing consumer education and advocating for quality services
•Providing information about available services
•Providing assistance with accessing services


Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Council on Aging, an organization affiliated with the Montana Nonprofits Association, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Council on Aging, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Council on Aging administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
