About Us

We are a North Carolina based non-profit organization advocating on behalf of children awaiting adoption in the US Foster Care System by educating the public about the benefits of foster care adoption, reforming the adoption process, connecting waiting children to potential adoptive families and supporting them through their adoption journey.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Youth Connections, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Youth Connections, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Youth Connections administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
