The Wizard’s Wardrobe is an after school free, tutoring service, for students from Albany’s South End. We are beginning in the Fall of 2016 with students from the first and second grade. You will find us on the corner of Rensselaer and Church streets in the back of the first floor of the tower, about one block from Giffen..

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with The Wizard’s Wardrobe, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

The Wizard’s Wardrobe, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your The Wizard’s Wardrobe administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
