Friends of the Children of the Klamath Basin - Background Screening Portal

About Friends of the Children

Friends of the Children was founded in 1993 in Portland, Oregon by entrepreneur Duncan Campbell. Despite a hardscrabble childhood, Campbell was able to achieve success beyond anyone’s expectations. And he made a promise…that one day, if he had the resources to do so, he would help other children triumph over adversity. Our own chapter was established in 2020.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with Friends of the Children of the Klamath Basin, an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Friends of the Children of the Klamath Basin, as a nonprofit organization, incurs the cost for all employee applicants and typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on volunteers.

If you are an applicant for employment, select the "I am an applicant for employment" link below.

If you are a volunteer and would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider self-paying for your volunteer background check (speak with your Friends of the Children Executive Director at 541.273.2022 if you have questions).

By purchasing your volunteer background check yourself, you help us provide additional services for those youth who need us the most.

By selecting the appropriate link from the options below, you will ensure
that the correct type of background check is conducted on your behalf.
