Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy - Position Classification

About Us

Southwest Washington’s home for quality Arts Education for all ages!

Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 that offers the community a complete well-rounded education in Acting, Singing, Dance, Musical Theatre, Music and Art. Our booked curriculum allows each student to realize and reach their creative potential through class placement and individualized educational plans. Students will be assessed and placed in classes that best suit their individual needs. Upon placement, the progress of your student is monitored to ensure they are continuing on their educational plan.

Not only are our students encouraged to focus on their specific areas of study, but also try out classes to see what other talents they may possess. Students will also find a balance between our technique driven classes, as well as our performance related classes. Our class description page provides for further details on what we offer and more information on classes and workshops. At the end of each semester students will receive a “jury” where parents, student and instructors meet to discuss progress, their educational plan and further placement in the program. This individualized attention allows parents to support their students and keep communication and expectations on the same page.

We hope you will join the
Metropolitan Performing Arts Family in our goal to instruct, cultivate, nurture and enhance the lives of our students ages 6 to adult. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at nscott@metropaa.org.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits or one of their State Associations, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy, as a nonprofit organization, typically incures the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy administrator if you have any questions).

By purchasing your background check yourself, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.

We are grateful for the support of our volunteers and appreciate your consideration of this offer.

By selecting the appropriate job classification from the list below, you will ensure that the appropriate type of background check is conducted on your behalf.
