About Off The Couch Events

Off The Couch Events is a 501c3 tax-exempt socialization/educational program for differently-abled young adults age 18 and over, in a non-competitive, non-hostile environment. We offer such activities as Activity Night, a once a month themed event with dancing, board games, a craft, and a celebration of birthdays. We also offer field trips.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with an organization affiliated with the National Council of Nonprofits and the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to begining their service.

Off The Couch Events, as a nonprofit organization, requires that all volunteer candidates self-pay for the required criminal background check.
