Our Mission

The mission of the Grief Center of Middle Tennessee is to provide comfort to children, teens and adults who have experienced the death of a loved one or other significant loss.

Background Screening Requirement

In order to be a volunteer or employee with the Grief Center of Middle Tennessee, each candidate is required to have a criminal background check completed prior to beginning their service.

Grief Center of Middle Tennessee, as a nonprofit organization, typically incurs the cost of all background checks conducted on our volunteers.

If you would like to help us dedicate more of our limited funds to supporting our mission, please consider paying for your volunteer background check via your personal credit card (speak with your Grief Center of Middle Tennessee administrator if you have any questions).

By self-purchasing your volunteer background check, you will help us provide additional services to those in need.
